Office open as usual – Please plan ahead for subway and road closures

The office at 49 West 24th is secure, and appointments will be held as usual on Monday September 19th. As emergency operations continue following the explosion that occurred Saturday evening on West 23rd Street, vehicle, subway, and pedestrian traffic is restricted along 23rd Street and nearby portions of Sixth Avenue. Some trains are bypassing the 23rd and 28th St Stations.

I would suggest taking the N/R train, which is stopping as usual at 23rd Street. There are no pedestrian restrictions to 24th Street via Fifth Avenue/Broadway near Madison Square Park.

Notify NYC – Road Closure – Reopened
Notification issued 9/19/16 at 8:54 PM. Following earlier police activity in Chelsea (MN), West 23rd Street between 6th and 7th Avenues has been reopened to vehicular. The north side of West 23rd Street remains closed to pedestrian traffic. The MTA M23 bus line has resumed its normal route.

Notification issued 9/18/16 at 8:50 PM. Following the transit disruption as a result of the Chelsea explosion, 1 Train service has resumed making normal stops at 23rd Street and 28th Street in Manhattan. Customers should utilize the entrance at the southeast corner of 23rd Street and 7th Avenue as the entrance on the northeast corner remains closed.
